When we listen to the inspiring narration of Prof. Kshitij Patukale, renowned author and Director of Bhishma Sanatan Vedic Hindu University, USA, as he takes us through the two-thousand-year history of ancient Kambuja (present-day Cambodia), its traditions, culture and flourishing civilization, the experience fills the heart with wonder and a profound sense of pride.
The kingdoms and empires established in Cambodia by ancient Indian Hindu rulers, the magnificent temples they built, their extraordinary architecture and sculpture, remarkable traditions such as Devaraja, ancient centres of learning, and the fascinating legends of Nagas and Apsaras together reveal the remarkable geographical and cultural expanse of Indian civilization.
As we encounter this extraordinary heritage, a deep and inexplicable sense of connection begins to emerge—as though some part of our own ancestral memory belongs to the ancient land of Kambuja. One cannot help but feel an intimate bond with this sacred land, a connection that transcends geography and time.
